Mountain peaks with light breaking through at sunrise - representing breakthrough, freedom, and new beginnings.

You know who God says you are. So why doesn't it feel that way?

Identifying the beliefs that keep you from the freedom, identity, and intimacy with God you were designed for.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

  • You’ve said, “Yes!” to God, but Now What?

  • You’ve been a Christian for years but the cycle never seems to break.

  • You desire healthy relationships, but feel broken relationships follow you.

  • You go through seasons of feeling close to God — then find yourself distant again.

  • You watch others talk about freedom and wonder why it feels out of reach for you.

  • You're doing all the right things but still feel like something is missing.

  • Old thought patterns, wounds, or fears are quietly shaping your decisions.

  • You know God is for you — but you don't always feel it.

If you read this list and feel seen — you’re in the right place.

MY STORY

I was my own worst enemy. Selfish. Chasing whatever pleased me in the moment. Deeply depressed, riddled with anxiety, convinced the world was against me — and every circumstance seemed to confirm it. Poor decisions. Broken patterns. A cycle of believing lies about God and about myself.

And the hardest part? I was a Christian, grew up in church; I felt like I should have had all the answers.

“I’m not getting out of this car until something changes.”

One night, driving home from work, that's what I told God. I put on worship and prayed and warred over my life right there in that seat. That night, something shifted. The depression lifted. The anxiety broke.

I started spending day after day with the Lord — communing, talking, praying. And I discovered there is so much more to this walk than I had ever known. But even then, I realized the freedom was real and was mine, but thought patterns, belief systems, wounds — those still needed to be faced, healed, and replaced with truth.

Today, depression doesn't own me. Addiction has no hold on my life. The freedom Christ died for is no longer something I hear about in other people's testimonies — it's what I walk in every single day. That's not a sermon point. That's my life. And I believe it's possible for you too.

Three Stages. One Transformation.

HOW IT WORKS

MONTH 1

UNCOVER

Uncovering the beliefs and thought patterns that have kept you stuck — going beneath the surface to identify where they started and why they've had such a hold on your life.

MONTH 2

HEAL

Going deep into Scripture to uproot what's been holding you back — a biblical lens on your story that uncovers the lies, replaces them with truth, and breaks agreement with what was never yours to carry.

Month 3

WALK

Purpose clarity and practical solutions — partnering with you to identify the next steps and real answers that will keep you moving forward long after our time together.

ABOUT YOUR COACH

Darian V. Pleasant - faith-based coach, mentor, and author of Upholder's Walk.

I'm Darian V. Pleasant — a husband, father, coach, mentor, and author with nearly 20 years of experience working with athletes, students, and individuals through some of the most defining seasons of their lives. My work sits at the intersection of athletic development, student development, and the Christian walk — and across every area I've worked in, one thing has proven true: what we believe about ourselves and about God shapes everything. Those beliefs will either hold us back from all God has for us or propel us into it.

I hold a Master’s in Pastoral Counseling, and my approach is counseling-informed and solution-focused. That means our sessions don't stay on the surface. They go to the root — to the beliefs, the wounds, and the patterns that are quietly driving the cycle you can't seem to break.

I understand what it means to carry unresolved things underneath while still showing up and performing. I know the difference between looking like you have it together and actually being free. That's not something I read about — that's something I lived through. And it's what gives me the ability to sit across from someone and know exactly what they're carrying.

I am the author of Upholder's Walk: 31 Days to Deeper Intimacy with Jesus — a devotional born directly out of my own breakthrough story. I don't coach from theory. I coach from experience, from training, and from a life that has been transformed by the same freedom I want to see others encounter.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Is this clinical counseling or coaching?

It's pastoral coaching — faith-rooted, counseling-informed, and solution-focused. Sessions are Scripture-anchored and centered on your walk with God. This is not clinical therapy.

Do I need to be struggling to join?

No. Some clients come in crisis. Others come because they feel called to more and aren't sure why they feel stuck. Both are welcome.

What happens on the discovery call?

It's a free 30-minute conversation to understand where you are, what you're carrying, and whether the Upholder’s Coaching is the right fit. No pressure. No pitch.

Can I do this remotely?

Yes — all sessions are via Zoom, phone, or in-person. Location doesn't matter.

What makes this different from regular coaching?

Everything here is Christ-centered. We don't just set goals — we go to the root of what's driving the stuck patterns and replace lies with truth at the heart level, not just the mind.
